At Eat My Catfish, we’re more than just a place to enjoy fresh, delicious Southern seafood—we’re a proud member of the Little Rock community, dedicated to giving back and supporting the causes that make our home so special. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our support for the 2025 River Cities Dragon Boat Festival, happening June 6-7 at Lake Willastein in Maumelle. This vibrant, family-friendly event brings our community together for a weekend of thrilling dragon boat races, teamwork, and fun, all to benefit the Children’s Protection Center in Little Rock.
This year, we’re cheering on the Elite Movers team as they paddle with passion to raise funds and awareness for the Children’s Protection Center, a nonprofit that provides hope and healing to families impacted by child abuse. The Center offers critical services like forensic interviewing, medical exams, and therapy, ensuring children and their families receive compassionate care to overcome trauma. We’re especially excited because our very own catering specialist, AraLea Seachris, will be rowing in the Elite Movers boat! Join us in wishing AraLea luck as she powers through the races with her team to support this incredible cause. By backing the Elite Movers, we’re helping amplify their efforts to make a meaningful difference in the lives of local kids and families.
The River Cities Dragon Boat Festival is a true celebration of community spirit, and we’re honored to be part of it. From the colorful dragon boats slicing through the water to the onshore festivities—think food trucks, a DJ, kids’ activities, and teams decked out in wild costumes—this event showcases the energy and heart of Central Arkansas. It’s a chance for all of us to come together, have fun, and support a cause that strengthens our community.
At Eat My Catfish, supporting local isn’t just a slogan—it’s who we are. Whether we’re sourcing fresh ingredients, serving up our signature catfish and crawfish, or backing events like the Dragon Boat Festival, we’re committed to investing in the people and organizations that make Little Rock such a great place to live. By rallying behind AraLea and the Elite Movers, as well as the Children’s Protection Center, we’re proud to play a role in building a stronger, safer, and more connected community.
So, come out to Lake Willastein on June 6-7 to cheer on AraLea and the Elite Movers and enjoy a fantastic weekend of racing and fun. And when you’re craving a fresh, local meal, swing by Eat My Catfish to fuel up and keep the community spirit going. Together, we can make a difference—one paddle, one plate, and one shared moment at a time.
Eat Fresh. Support Local.
