The events of 9/11 changed the world forever, but they also allowed us to witness the best of humanity. From the firefighters rushing into burning buildings, to the police officers directing people to safety, and the paramedics providing life-saving care, first responders became the backbone of American resilience that day. Every year, we remember their sacrifices, not just as an event in history but as an ongoing commitment to protecting and serving our hometown communities.
Eat My Catfish understands those sacrifices didn’t stop on September 11th.
Today, the EMC team had the honor of taking our kitchen on the road to serve the brave men and women who protect our communities every day, with one goal in mind: to honor those heroes through food and fellowship. In recognition of the sacrifices made daily by first responders, we visited three cities across the state to offer fresh meals as a small token of our appreciation. We made stops in Southwest Little Rock, Jonesboro, and Conway where we welcomed local firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and other emergency personnel to enjoy a comforting, home-cooked meal. With every plate of catfish served, we noted the genuine gratitude expressed by those who risk their lives for us daily.
After our 5th year hosting these events in conjunction with Winrock Automotive Group, we couldn’t help but feel that same gratitude for giving back to our local communities. For us, it’s not about pride, it’s about creating a space where members of our community feel valued, respected, and appreciated.
