LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Eat My Catfish, Arkansas’ favorite seafood restaurant known for its
delectable catfish, crawfish and Southern-inspired cuisine, celebrated the grand opening of its
second Little Rock location in Riverdale with a ribbon cutting and the announcement of Eat My
Catfish Gives Back Day. Eat My Catfish Gives Back Day will be held on July 19th, when the
restaurant’s Riverdale location will give 100 percent of its revenue from one day to local tornado
relief efforts. The effort is part of a broader initiative to give back to the community following the
support Eat My Catfish received when the March 31 tornado heavily damaged its Breckenridge
location.
“We are proud to be part of the Little Rock community, which is known for its
tremendous, giving spirit,” Eat My Catfish President and Founder Travis Hester said. “We
know that tornado recovery will take time, and many are still in need. We want to
continue giving back to the community we are blessed to be a part of.”
More than 20 Eat My Catfish employees from the Breckenridge location are now working from
the Riverdale location, while the Breckenridge location undergoes reconstruction following
damage from the March 31 tornado. The Riverdale location will serve as an additional location
for Eat My Catfish in Little Rock.
“The neighborhood around Riverdale has welcomed us with open arms,” Hester said.
“We are so excited for our expansion in Little Rock with this second location, and we
look forward to being part of this neighborhood for many years to come.”
The Little Rock Riverdale restaurant marks the eighth statewide location for Eat My Catfish.
Other Arkansas locations include Benton, Conway, North Little Rock, Fayetteville, Siloam
Springs, Rogers and Little Rock (Breckenridge). Eat My Catfish anticipates an announcement
on the reopening of the Breckenridge location soon.
